Smith, a first, a second and a third; C. Wilton, a second; E. walsh, a third. Athletes were present at Marton, where one first was sgcured, only for the decision to be reversed. Greyhound Racing A crowd estimated at over 1000 saw the first greyhound races conducted on the new sand track at Foxton on Saturday. The meeting •was a huge success, and the track was considered . an excellent one. CompetitOrs' were present from far afiel'd. The. next meeting at Foxton is to be" held this Saturday' in aid of the Sports Queen in the Otaki Carnival. ' Buses will run, particulars of which appear in the advertising columns.
