w Personal Mrs. , Clark and family, -who have been spending the weekend with Mrs. Tregill, Senr., returned to her home this morning. Miss J. Cane, of the Shannon Dairy Company staff, is spending her annual vacation at Waitarere Beach. Mr. and Mrs. F. Curran and family have returned to their I home at Wanganui after spending i a holiday with Mrs. Curran, Senr., [ ,at the Albion Hotel. j Mr. and Mrs. Lee, of Vogel i Street, have returned home after j spending a hol.day at Napier. Their two sons have been training at the athletic coaching school there. River StiH Up The Manawatu River rose sharply early last week, following the neavy rain in the Pohangina district, and remained at a high, although not a dangerous level all the week. Over the weekend it gradually dropped, although many local swimmers were deprived of their weekend dip. The river should- be back to normal shortly. ■ ■ I III |_l_ 11
