Parkir gained third place in his heat of the half - and one mlle sehier" chahipionship, but was not placed m the finals, these being won by t).- Wright, of Stratford, . while the tiiree mile Champioriship was ahriexPd by !A. Sharrock, of Wangantti; Iri the ■ junior championships, R. Harber was second in his heat of the . tWo-mile and gained third place in the final, the. winner .being G. Sharrock, of Wanganui. Ih the, half-mile championship^ R. Harpef was successful ih Wmniiig his heat, and S. Bonner gained third place, but neithir Wfts placed ixi the final, which WaS agaiii w©rt by G. Sharrock. In the handicap events M. RarpSr Won hiS heat of the half^ftiiie ahd gained second pl&ee ih the fihai, won his heat of the oneiriile, but was unplaced in tnd finai. P. Elliot and K. Broadbelt sechred second and third place in this event in their heats and . P. Elliot was also placed third in the final. Ih the ladies' races Miss. S. Rdse Was sueeessful in winning her heat of the 75 yards and won the final. Miss N.- Tyrpe also gained third place ih tlife fiiial. ftnd thifd ih her heat. • Miss J. Bird seciired third in the firSt , heat, but Was uriplaced lil the fllial. The ladies' 100 yards first heat was Won by Miss R MOfitagtle, Wanganui, Misses S. Rose and J. Bird,. Levin, gaining second and third placings. Ih the " second heat, Miss s. Montague, Wanganui, an-d MisSO§ N. Tyree and A. Williams, Levin, filled the places, the final being won by Miss P. Montague from Misses^ S. Rose ahd B. Montague. The performances Of the Levin )adies were quite meritoribus, more especially as Miss P. Montague holds the 100 and 220 yards West Coast champidnShip tities. , Inter-Club Nights Commencing nekt Thursdhy at Foxton, the first of the inter-club hights for -the Hunter Shield will be held.
