A war against taxi drivers of the 8ydney and Newcastle transport disIricts, who commit the indiscretion. of displaying nnderwear or- braces while driving, will commence on Februa'rv I, aceording to the Minister of Transport, Mr. ,'M. O'Sullivan. The Police anr] lioad Transport Departments will enforce the existing regulations which re quire taxi drivers to be clean and tidv and to wear clean and ' respeetabie clothes. Drivers are also required to be shaven. Unless the'y wear a coilar and tie or uniform, drivers are ordered to wear a safari jaeket in summer and suitable heavier clothirig. in winjter.
