Personal Mrs. Carter, of Okuku Road, left yesterday morning on ai holiday visit to Wellington. Mrs. Reg. Graham,.\ of Wairoa, is holidaying in Shannon as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Rogers, Stafford Street. Visiting Mrs. R. Sands and members of her-- family yesterday were Mrs. Taylor, Senr.; and Mr. L. Taylor, of Pahautanui, and ' the Misses A. and B. Taylor, of Hawera. Mr. M. Allen, of Julyan Stfeet, has returned home after spending a holiday at Foxton Beach. Mrs. Allen and family will remain at the beach for a few days yet. Another local holiday-maker at Foxton Beach is Mrs. Jennings, of Newtown. After many years' service in charge of the Horowhenua Electric Power Board's sub-station at Shannon, Mr. T. H. Sunley has been transferred to Levin and, together with Mrs. Sunley and Miss S. Sunley, left for that town this morning: Mr. H. Rogers takes over the position vacated by Mr. Sunley and, with Mrs. Rogers, arrived here today.
