Primary School To Re-open In February

The Levin School will re-open on Tuesday, February 1, -for the first terin in 1949. After almost a year's leave of absence, the headmaster, Mr. H. F. McClune, will resume his duties at the 'school after being occupied as an inspector of schooxs in tne Wellington Education Board's district, to which position he was appointed in March, 1948. "I am very glad to be back," he told a "Chronicle" repxesentative this. morning. Mr. McClune advises that Mr. R. Rankin, of Taranaki, has been appointed as a male assistant at the school, while Mr. I. Doyle, of Levin, has been given a probationary appoiritment.
