AUCKLAND, Jan. 10. A Christchurch boat sailed by G. Mander. and R. Harper, won the first race in the 3949 Cornwall Cup contest sailed on Tauranga Harbour today in a light to moderate breeze. Lyttelton 's
representative was second,. the Wellington boat third and Auckland fourth. The finishing times of the first 10 boats were:— Christchurch 3 hours 3j minutes 55 seconds, Lyttelton 3h 5m' 50s, Wellington 3h 6m 39s, Auckland 3h 6m 56s, Plimmerton 3h 7m 3s, Wanganui 3h 7in .lSs, Otago 3h 7m 32s, Tauranga 3h 7m 48s, Manawata 3h 8m 8s, Wfiangarei 3k 8s 39b. ° :
