Educational Reserves
(To the Editor) Sir, — ^Educational reserVes are a trust that have been bestowed upon us. They are lands kept in store as a provision for f uture use ' and for .the purposes for which they were dedicated by those who had the forethought to realise the needs of the future as development takes place. To use any of these reserves for any purpose other than that for which they have been set aside would be a betrayal of a trust. Local opinion and guidance should not be readily overlooked by anyone. ' . We must look for protection from our Borough Council, School Committe'e and conscientious citizens to safeguard our heritage. To lose our educational reserves would be a great sacrilege. Yours, etc., Wm. SEDDON. Levin, 11/1/49.
