Pcrsoiicil Miss M. Swabey, of Convent Road, Ls touring the Auckland district. Miss Stella Cook, of Rangiuru Road, is on holiday in Auckland. Mrs. McEwen has been staying . witn her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Barnett, Rangiuru Road. Mrs.. Keller, of Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. Stewart, Kirk Street. Mr. and Mrs. D. Ryder, of Taupo, and Mr. J. D'Ath, of Waitara, were the guests of Mrs. V. Tews, Convent Road, for the Christmas vacation. Mr. D. Batten, of Christchurch, was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Tews, Tasman Road, during his visit to Otaki to compete at the sports meeting on Saturday. Mrs. Major, Masterton, has befen visiting her daughter, Matron Major, of the Otaki Health Camp. Later Mrs. Major hopes to leave by clipper for a holiday visit to Australia. The immediate plans of Mr. and Mrs. J. Mason, who recently disposed of their business in Otaki, iare indefinite. They intend ultiImately to recommence in business. | after a holiday. I Early Moming Fire I At a call to Rangiuru shortly .after 3 a.m. this morning the Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade found some isolated pine trees alight. The outbreak was caused through a spark from a camp fire. It was about a quarter of a mile away from any dwelling.
