Thousands of Australian .termites in their winged form took flight from a power pole in Three Kings Road on Thursday night. They swarmed into houses across the road and disappeared iri trfees. This is the first time this" summer such a flight has been reportecL Mr. G. G-. Rowntree said that the swarm appeared before dark on Thursday. Thousands of insects flew in his front door and cireled about light globes. He and the family closed the doors, switched off the iights and used lnseeticide from a spray gun. Yesterday morning the floors were covered with dead termites. The building tvas again treated with chemicals. ResidentS were unawai'e ; that there was a colony of termites nearby..
