WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. ►Setting off by the Wanganella to morrow on a two months' tour in Australia, ■ are 24 members of Btudent from members of the Canterbury College Drama Society. Miss Ngaio« Alarsh, whose reputation overseas as a writer 'of detective stories is matched by her record in the Dominion for her work with repertory societies, is direct.or and producer. The company eomprises 16 men and eight women. The touring hianager, Mr. Robert Stead, said tonight that the cOmpany would present two plays — Shakespeare's "Othello" and Piifandello 's ' ' Six Characters in Search of an , Author. ' ' The players would open on January 15 in the Sydney Conserva torium and play for two weeks. This would be followed by a two-night season in Canberra, two weeks in Meibourne starting on February 5 at the University Theatre and two nights at Ballarat and Bendigo. The venture was a non-commerciaJ and non-profit one, commented Mr. Stead. It was hoped the tour would be the forerunner of others.
