Tientsin Threatened With Fate Of Peiping
Received Mondav, 8.5 p.m. NANKING, Dec. 19. . Tientsin, the last Xationalist stronghold in Xorth China, is now apparently enoirclod by the Communists like Pei ping. Rail and telephone communications between Tientsin and its seaport of Tangitu were cut today. The rails wero removed and a bridge blasted along the railway east of Tientsin. The Communists turned baelt a repair train. The Reds have also driven to within spven miles of Tientsin from the west. [nside Tientsin feverish dofence preparations are going on. Engineers are pulling down briclt fences for reconversion into pill boxes.
