Runaway Rocket
Eei-eived Tuesdav, 7 p.m. LOXI)ON, I)ec. 14. A rocket projectile being cut up for scrap on (dydeside. took off and with flames leaping from the exhaust pipes, sped across fhe Clyde and landed in a field 1000 yards away. The welder, not i realising the danger, lit the rocket propelling charge with an oxy-acetylene burner. The hlast liowled over workers like ninepins. The warhead had J been removed from the rocket. Flames from the rocket lieked the side of a German. bomli fllled with T.X.T. Nobody' was injured.
