AUCKLAND, Dec. 12. Barney' Clarke, tlie promising youug Auckland light-heavyweight professional boxer, left for Austraiia by the Wanganella from Wellington on Thursday to seek fights in Sydney. Accord ing to his trainer, Mr. Frank Staniey, Clarke will trv to get as, many bouts as possible against suitable opponents be fore returniug to Auckland in Febru ary. earries a lctter of introduction 1 to the well known Sydney trainer, Mr. Jack Dunleavy. Clarke won the national amateur light-heavyweight title tlie last two seasons and turned professional two months ago. He outpointed Peter Cocji rane over eight rouiuls in tlie Auckland Town Hall last month in his 1 only professional fight.
