WELLINGTON, Dee. 12. Wellington retained the Nunneley Casket by beating Otago by eight rubbers to four. Play was of a high standard. The only really surprising result was the defeat of the New Zealand championship runner-up, Miss M. Kerr, by Mrs. J. MeVay, who ranked sixth.in the Dominion. Saturday 's results, Wellington names first, were: — Singles: Miss J. Webster lost to Miss M. Pyle 2 — 6, 1—6; Mrs. K. Anderson beat Miss C. Neave 6 — 1, 6—1; Mrs. J. McVay beat Miss M. Keri* 9 — 7, 6 — 2; Miss N. Fleming beat Miss M. Robertson 3— M5, 6 — 2, 6 — 2. Doubles: Mrs. Anderson and Miss Webster lost to Misses Pyle and Neave 5—7, 3 — 6; Mrs. -McVay and Miss Fleming beat Misses Kerr and Robertson 2—6, 7—5, 7—5. \
