Christmas Grants From Art Unions
WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. Cliristmas* grants totalling £16,630 will be made to various eharitable and philanthropic institutions in New Zealand, from the prolits of alluvial art unions, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Parry, announcecl today. The grants range from £1000 to £25. The New Zealand Crippled Children Society reeeives £1000 and also the Commandery in New Zealand of the Order of . St. John, for its various branches. Other alloeations are: — Levin f'arm of the Mental Hospitals Department £25; Otaki Sanatorium £25, Otaki Family Camp £250; Palmerston North Hospital Auxiliary £50,; ;Manawatu Willard Children 's Home and Orphanage £50. -
