Te Horo Plunket Committee Meets
Tlie Te Horo Plunket Committee met in the Plunket rooms, Te Horo, recentiy when, fo.lowing routine business, there was a g„neral discussion on the formation of a mothers' club. It was decided that the time was not opportune to call a meeting to fu'rther the proposal, owing to Christmas preparations, but it was agreed to procee'd early in the New Year. • Mrs.'A. Bennett, secretary, pre~ sented tne baiance sheet - for the recent shop day. It showe'd a credit baiance of £54, cash donations included amounting to £19. Members were enthusiastic about the support gjLven by mothers and the general public, and felt that in !future it should be possible to raise the whole amount required by donations. As the chii'dren's party is the only compliment paid to the 'parents and children for their Igenerous support during the year. jit was with s.ncere regret that the committee reluctantly decided that owing to the prevalence of po.io., it was inadvisable to hold a children's party this year. A vote of thanks to the headmaster of the Te Horo School, Mr. IJ. A. Duncan, his staff and the {children for their very 'tfine effort jin sending 28^ dozen egbs to the ! Karitane Hcspital this year was jpassed.
