Received Tuesdav, 7 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 7. The prayers of multitudes in India are directed towards the conference between representatives of Pakistan and India which opeued in Delhi yesterdav in a new effort to settle some of the luany frictions between the, two Dominions, says The Times' Delhi correspondent. The leader of the Indian delegation Oopalasvvami Ayyariger, assured the Pakistan representatives that India entered the conference in a spirit of tiTiderstanding and with a determination Ihat the talks must sueeeed. The chief Pakistan delegate, Ghulam Mohammed, said Pakistan .was no less eager than India to lu'ing- the conference to u successful conciusion. The conference is expected lo last s^veral days.
