TAURANGA, Dec. 4. The effect of p'oor tpiality c.lialk on ■ tlie health of pupils and teachers was raised in a report by the headniaster, ALr. (J. C., Eouthey, to the Tauranga Priniary .Sehool committee. Mr. Eouthey 1 said the teachers complained thct the chalk supjilied was of very poor quality, eitlier wlien buught locallv or supplied by the board. The headniaster said i1 was felt that a medical report shouhl be prepared on the effect of the use of tlie present supplies. Tlie coniinittee ito make representations to the approI>riate authorities.
