Conference On Loads For Heavy Trucks
WELLINGTON, Dec. 6. The weight restriction proposed for hGavv trucks, which has been the suliject of dispute recently, is to be dis cussed at a meeting which the Minister of Transport, Mr. Hackett, proposes to call between the Transport Department and Main Highways Bpard. This was announced today bv tlie Gommissioncr of Transport, Mr. G. L. Laurenson. It was hoped in this wav to find some policy that would be acceptable to all the parties concerned. Mr. Laurenson said Ihe meeting will probably be held within the next fortnight.
