Encouraging Report On His Majesty's Health
Ccwvriaht)
Received Tuesday, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, Dep. 6. . The following bulletin was issued from Buckingham Palace* toddy: "His Majesty's general health cohtihues to ,be good and he devotes a considerable proportion of his time' to the conduct of the affairs "Of State. The process of the restoration of the arterial circulation of the feet is proceeding slowly and since the bulletin of November 29 a further small but encouraging improvemeflt has occurred. "His Maje'sty, to seeure the rest and warm environment which are indispensable for the re-establisli-meht of the circulation, is refriaining in his apartments and spends most of his time in bed.1' The bulletin was signed by Sir Maurice Cassidy, heart specialist, Sir T'nomas Dunhill, head of the Royal househol'd surgeons, Professor J. R. Learmouth, Sir Morton Smart, an authority on diseases of the muscles, and Sir John Weir, ■the King's physician. Reuter's Court correspondeht says that the fact that the doctors used the word encouraging concerning the future improvement in the restoration of the circulation is regarded as a good sign. The reference to the restoration of the circulation "to the feet," whereas only the right foot was mentioned in the original bulletin, presumably means that there has been some affect' at the restoration of the circulation to both feet. The bulletin, which was the third issued concerning His Majesty's illness, was signed by the same five doctors who issued the original stateinent a fortnight ago. There is no indication of when another bulletin will be issued, but the doc-1 tors are continuing regular visits to His Majesty.
