NEW PLYMOUTH Dec. 4. A Cardiff family, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Goble, had a frightening Cxperience during tlxe height of an electrical storm yestCiklay. Their house was struck by lightning, which also spiit asunder one of two^hearby pinus insignis trees and seyerel'y burned another. The lightning, which sounded like a violent explosion, scattered electri-c meter parts about one room Jike ninepins and smashed crockery. A radio set vims burned/ out and three windows vere shattered. Glass from one of the windows was strewn across a bed, ithich had not long been vacated by Mr.* Gobie's young daughter. One neighborn' who was milking in a cow shed at the time received -a violent shock.
