Manakau Women's Division Meets
The final monthly meeting for the year of the Manakau Branch of the Women's Division of 'FedDomiiSj^^B^^y thanked the branch ^HHp?further donation of £30 to thPiiew rest home in Auckland. This bi'ings the total forwarded by the Manakau branch to £45. Members were interested in hearing of the outings given by the Otaki-Te Horo branch to patients of the Otaki Sanatorium, and a small donation in appreciation of this fine service was forwarded. IC was decided to enter a pastry disp'ay at the forthcoming Horowhenua A. and P. Show. "My pet economy" was the subject of the afternoon talk, given ! by Mrs. Bennett, This was particularly well illustrated by the makng of c^th slippers and ; squares for a patch work quilt. Mrs. A. Hill proved the winner of the afternoon's competition.
