Disloyal Immigrants Coming To New Zealand
AUCKLAND, Nov. 30. One inember of a party-of Koyal Air Force men seconded to the New Zealand Air Force, openly boasted 011 the voyage of the Mataroa from ".Britain, that he was a Communist,- said Mr. Arthur L. Bayliss, an Auckland business man, who returned on the Mataroa. Mr. JBayiiss told a reporter today that, 011 arrival in Wellington on Sunday, he reported the niatter to the boarding New Zealand Air Force ofticer. "The conduct of some of the iniim grants aboard the Mataroa was the subject of conunent in Parliament by Mr. \V. S. Goosinan (Upposition, Piakoj in Parliament yesterday. ' He ad- ' mitted he was a Communist whereupon , Mr. Bayliss told hiiu in outspoken lan- ; guage what he thought of him. Mr. Bayliss expressed the opinion to j the interviewer that some of the immigrants were "poor tvpes," addiiig that i thore were thousands of wortliy people in Britain who desired to conie to New Zealand.
