The picture stars John Garfield and Lilli Palmer and tells of a young nian ruled by a ruthless ambition and of the two women who loved •him. In the leading roie John Garfield turns in his usual forceful and imaginative performance, adding ~nother fine picture to his already impressive list of screen performances. Lilli Palmer, who rose to fame on the British screen, excels in this, her second Holywood film. Hazel Brooks, as the sultry "Alice," will be remembered for a long time !and her screen future is assured. "Body and Soul" has a strong supporting cast including Anne Revere, William Conrad, Joseph Pevney and Cahada Lee. An M-G-M release, "Body and Soul" is not suitable for general exhibition.
