A warning that the pig disease 1 known as crpoked jaw might soon make itself felt in the Manawatu district was given to the Wellington District Pig Council this week by its supervisor (Mr. L.' L. Marsden) . The disease had been given an amount of publicity and he had been of the opinion that much of the publicity was unwarranted( he said. He had not found it in the' Wairarapa or Manawaru districts, but when he investigated in the Waikato he found it quite strongly established.
