DUNEDIN, Nov. 8. As the Clutha River fell gradually today, the danger of a break in the stopbanks lessened. The level of the river at Balclutha was 68 feet 4 inches at 10 p.in., still 7 or 8 feet above noruial. A vigilant watch was kept at all points a-pd. ,non-stop patrols were ar^ ranged for tonight.
