Derailment Upsets Train Timetables
■»- When. a waggon of a goods train preceding the, early morning Auckland-Wellington express was derailed between Manakau and Otaki this. morning,. through rail traffic on tlie Main Trunk line was temporarily disrupt'ed, some pa'ssengers having to be transhipped by bus to Paekakariki from this train. The Auckland-Wellington Limited express got through, as did all the other south trains following. The early train from Paekakariki, which arrives at Levin at 8.30 a.m., was one hour late and the up* Fields express was also delayed half an hour. The New Plymouth express was only a few minutes late. The line is now clear.
