Received Suntlav, 10.6 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 7. For the second successive Sunday, Sydney suffen'ed extreme weather vagaries. The capital, early this at'tqrnoon, was the hottest place in the State with a temperature of-97 degrees. Then camo a fierce storm with winds exceeding 50 miles an hour and heavy rain. The storm was inclirectly responsible for the deaths of two children. $ In the suburb of Rozelle, a seveu-year-old boy was killed when struck by an electric light cable whieh was blown down. A 13-year-old gir] was dr owned at Tuggerab Lakes just north of Sydney,. when a lioine-inade boat was blown away from shore with five children aboard. Tke girt, in an eflort to obtain aid for her younger contpanions, .juntped overboard but failecl to reaeh shore. The other four children wqre rescuedN by fishermen. On Sydnev harbour a squall capsized or dismasted 58 of the boats eompeting in the 16 and 18 foot sailing raees aq.d over 100 of the erews were left struggling in the water.
