BRUCE,
(To the Edltor) Slr, — It was a pleasure to read in Tuesday-'s "Ohronicle" that the Levin School Committee had accepted our proposal and appreciated the suggestion that school children be released five minutes before the peak mid-day traffic hour. We note that correspondence from our association was dealt with at the committee's meeting, yet no reference was made to the fact that the early release of the children was a suggestion of the Levin Ratepayers' Association. Yours etc..
President.
Secretary. Levin Ratepayers' Assn. Levin, Nov. 2. - When this letter was referred- to the secretary of the Levin School Committee, Mr. D. P. Todd, he said that the early dismissal of the children had first been suggested to the committee at— its monthly meeting on September 27 by one. of its members, Mr. W. A. Whiteman. It had been recommended to the headmaster, who mstituted it on October 4. The letter - from the association, he addedj • was dated September 28 and did not come before the committee until its meeting on November 1.— Editor.
