Called Upon To Resolve Differences
PARIS, Nov. -3. Loud applause from all 58 delegations greeted the unanimous passage of the Mexican resolution in" a full session Of United Nations General Assembly, calling on the great powers to resolve their differences and promote lasting peace. Under the resolution, United Nations firstly recalls the declarations made at Yalta hy Mr. Churchill, Mr. Rooseveit and Marshal Stalin; secondly, endorseS these declarations and expresses its conviction that the great Allied powers will, in their policies, conform to the spirit of the declarations; thirdly, recommends the powers to redouhle their e,fforts in a spirit of solidarity and mutural understanding, to secure in the hriefest possihle time, a final settlement of the war and the conclusion of all. peace settlements; fourthly, recommends the • af orementioned powers to associate with them in the performanee of such a noble task, the states whicb suhscrihed and adhered to the Washington Declaration of January, 1942.
