WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. The unusual ease of a three-months-old" baby, who contracted inf antile paralysis in a mild form from her nurse, was disclosed today by the medical officer of health at Wellington (Dr. Hubert Smith). The nurse h'ad been loolring after. 'the ehild prior to herself having contracted the disease. That was three months mgo, and it was a clear case ox transmission, said Dr. Smith. Tlie child developed a temperature long past the effective period in which mfantile paralysis should have developed, and was evidently a mild ease. The baby, however, was not seriously affected at the time, and it was only now that the result of the attack was being shown in the physical form. No fresh case was reported today, making tht fourth clear day.
