Coat Of Arms For British Farmer
Received Wednesday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 20. Soniething hew in armorial bearings bas been given a patent by the College of Anns. It is the coat of arms of the Company of Farmers formed in February 011 the lines - of a City of London Guild. The formation of the company was the outcome of the Red ('ross agriculture fund and links the City of London with agriculture at a timo wheu the farmer and farm worker are recognised as vital men in Britain's corporate life. The designer of the coat of arms aimed to introduce all the basic elements of farming including croj>s, livestock and the men who grow and tend them, as simplv as possible. Two men hohling sickles have a liand placed on a shield 011 which are three ears of wheat. This is surmounted by a bull and the motto is: "Give us our daily iread. ' '
