Outspoken Attack Made On Communist Secretary

An outspoken attack upon the Communist secretary of the National Cnion of Mineworkcrs, Mr. Arthur Horner, was made . by Mr. Ktanley Evans, Labour member for Wednesl)ury. Mr. Evans said: "Mr. Ilorner \s executive, together with 05 per cent of tio; Nationa) Union of Mineworkers, accept and support. the Marshal] Plau. Mr. Horner, 011 instrm-tions from Moscow, is seeking to sabotage it. At the timo when Mr. Lawther and liis eolleagues on the union 's national executive, were conferring with the Ooal Board and Government on how best to inerease Biitish eoal production, Mr. Horner was to be found in Paris conferring with his Oominform friends. Inereased exports of British eoal to Kurope mean added prestige for social democracy an.i the Labonr Government and a diminution of the influeuee which Kussia exercises th rough Polish eoal.
