Sister L. W. Gaudin, of the Wel■ington Public Hospital, has been visiting her grandmot'her at Cambridge Street, Levin, and" returned to Wellington on Sunday night for further ditties. Immediately after the performanee of the "School For Scandal" by the Old Vic Company at Wel■.ington last night, Sir Laurence Olivier entered hospital to undergo an operation to 'his right leg which he injured while playing the fight scene in Richard III in Sydney. Following a brief illness, the death occurred at Feilding on Sunday of Mrs. Rose Elizabeth Seddon, M.B.E., severing -a long conneetion with that town as well as an extremeiy acLve life of gocdwill and generosity. Mrs. Seddon, who was 72 years of age, filled the role of Mayoress during the years that her son, Mr. T. L. Seddon, occupied the Mayoral chair. ,
