LARGE QUANTITIES OF FOOD SEIZED BY RUSSIANS

Received Monday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Oct. 10. Great quantities of coal, potatoes, coffee and other food has been seized in a search of motor lorries in the Soviet sector of Ber,lin, says the Russian-controlled news agency. Seventy-seven lorries seized lacked the proper papers for theirfreight and the agency alleged that •their cargoes were intended for the "illegal" supply of blockaded Western Berlin. The owners of the lorries were not identifled, but they were presumably Germans.
