Argument For Ending Of Butter Rationing

WELLINGTON ,Oct. 5. Feeling that an unfair situation exists in that New Zealand butter is sent to the United States and Canada, where rationing has ceased, the Wellington Housewives' Association considers that butter rationing should be abolished. "We sacriliced our butter to send it to the people of Britain and since that is no longer the reason for rationing, we think it is time that it ceased," said the president (Mrs. F. F. Gilmer) in a statement today. "In cancelling consumer registration for butter," she said, "the Minister of Supply has not gone far enough."
