WELLINGTON, Oct. 5. At question time in the House of Representatives, Mr. R. M. Algie (Remuera) gave notice to ask the Minister of Defence what factor guided the Government in its choice of the name "Pukaki" for one of the frigates transferred to the New Zealand. Naval station, and was the matter of the choice of such name referred to the New Zealand Geographie Board. In a note to the question Mr. Algie said that, according to a letter published recently in a Wellington newspaper, it would appear that the Maori word could have a meaning more or less equivalent to ' ' pain in the neck. ' '
