Home For Cerebral Palsy Patients
AUCKLAND, Oct. 1. Preliniinary steps towards the establishment of a special training centre for cerebral palsey sufferers in the Auckland Province are being taken by the Auckland brancli of the New Zealand Crippled Children Society whicli hopes to open the centre next year. A survey of 180 cases on the register has begun. It is hoped the centre will expand into a home where patients would stay for manv vears, leaving the Wiison Home 'ree to take other types of brief-terin •rippled sufferen-:. The "long-term" home would be iil Hue with the views of Dr. Earle Carlson, the world authority who recently visited the Doininion, and would alford an opportunity of carrying out rnany of liis methods and provide vocational tuition. .
