Health Stamp Sales First Day Record

First-day saies for the health stamp campaign iii Levin have reached £422 16s 7d. This figure is £156 9s 4d above the distri'ct's quota of £266 7s ,3d for the period of the campaign. The quota is based on the sum of 3s 9d for each household in the postal district. The postmaster, Mr. A. V. Morgan, said yesterday that he was "going all out" to break New Zealand records. Last year this .district created a record for the Palmerston North district, but Mr. Morgan pointed qut that there was fetill a long way to go before the total reached last" year's saies of £672 12s. Today the boy scouts made a house-to-house collection and it is believed that the results, when available, will be most heartening. "We must not let up on this quota, ' however," comhiented Mr. Morgan. "These stamps are for a very deserving cause and we must all do our best to forward it," he added. ■ ,
