The Tamaroa which is due at Wellington on October 2, carries 97 assisted settlers and 93 Grovernineiit-sponsored passengers. Of the 31 nursing staff, the Health Department liad alloeated 26 to %North tslaud hospitals. mainlv in the Waikato district. It had, tlrerefore, boen possible on this occasion to allocate only 23 of the party to the Soutli Island.
