Would Never Go To War Against Russia!
l * - PARIS, Sept. 30. The French Communist Party has declared that the people of France would never go to war against the Soviet Union. The statement was made after a meeting of the party's political bureau. "The French Communists will do everything in their power to prevent the instigators of i.nother war from putting their criminal plans into effect," said the statement. "The people of France hold in their hands the possibility of barringthe road to war instigators. "The French people denounce the military bloc against the Soviet Union and thank the Soviet delegation to the United Nations for the proposal to cut armaments. We denounce the anti-Soviet attacks by Mr. Bevin, Mr. Marshall and M. Spaak, to which the French Government is also linked by M. Schuman, who in no way represents France. The people of France won't accept an alliance with Western Germany to rnake war against the socialist countries," concluded the statement.
