WANGANUI, Sept. 17. The fifth engineer 011 the New Zealand Sliipping Company 's ship Leicester which was abandoned in the Allantic after striking a hurricane, was Frank X". Baddeley, son of Alr. and XTrs. P. Baddeley, of Kakatahi, near Wanganui. Jle joined the ship in Wellington, sailed vyith her to England and inteniled leaviug the sea on his return in her to Xew Zealand. Mr. Baddeley 's parents tonight received from him a radiogram sent from tlie rescue ship: "Ship wrecked, but am safe and well." He, is aged 21 and was emploved in Wellington before going to sea.
