Levin Cricket Club Elects New Officers
The Levin Cricket Club held its annual meeting this week to make preparations for the comlng season. There was a very fair attendance. Officers were elected as follows: Patron: Mr. D. S. Mackenzie; president: Mr. E. J. Field; vicepresidents: Messrs. L. Fletcher, J. Galloway, W. sWilson, J. C. Moodie and H. Hudson; hon. secretary: Mr. P. -A. Meddings; club captain: Mr. J. Granger; delegates to Horowhenua Association: Messrs. K. Hudson and W. Galloway. The annual report showed that last season had proved very successful to the club, both on the playing field and financially. _ It would commence the season with quite a satisfactpry credit balance. Thanks were again extended to the Levin Borough Council for the mahner in which the ground had been maintained. The meeting decided to forward a letter of appreciation to the Levin Borough Council for its work in laying down a new wicket. After general discussion the meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Mr. F. Baumber, Who occupied the chair.
