R.A.F. To Use More Jetpropelled Aircraft

Received Thursday, 7,50 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 16. Jet-propelled aircraft will figure prominently in the acceleration of military aircraft production which was announcett in the uommons on Tuesday. Steps to increase the productive capacity of the aircraft in- ' dustry have already been taken- and the output of jet fighters and bombers is being speeded up. All scptadrons of the R.A.F. Pighter Command are already equipped with Meteor or Vampire turbo-jet engines and according to The Times' aeronautical correspondent, it is now the Air Ministry's intention to make jet-propelled fighters available also for R.A.F. units stationed overseas and for R.A.F. auxiliary squadrons. For the time being Meteors and Vampires will continue to be the standard fighters of the R.A.F, , but c-ven faster types still on the secret list, are being develo'ped as well as more powerful jet engines.
