The Hyderabad radio stated that Indian troops were reported to have invaded Hyderabad t'ollowing the Nizam's rejection of India's demand to station troops in Secunderabad. The Government of India has informed the Government of Hyderabad that it holds itself f'ree to take whatever action it c-onsiders neeessary to restore law and order in Hyderabad, says Reuter's Kew Delhi correspondent. The announcement was made t'ollowing Hyderabad's refusal to allow Indian troops to be stationed in Hyderabad. The Governor-General has issued an ordinance making all Indians serving in the Indian land forees and those released from the forees liable for national service "in the emergency which has arisen." The British United Press' Hyderabad eorrespondent quotes an offieial announcement that the Indian Government has refused permission for the Hyderabad delegation to the United Nations' General Assemblv to use a ehartered plane to fly to Karachi. Indian action against Hyderabad is eonsidered imminent, says Reuter's Poona eorrespondent. Poona is the headquarters of the Indian Army's southern eommand and everything is readv for the word "Go." Unconfirmed reports from Sholapur saici that the Nizam's troops have taken up defensive positions 20 miles inside the State border. Hyderabad radio announced the immediate enforcement of a blackout in Hyderabad City aird Secunderbad. "Anything may happen," said the announcer.
