An assurance that when the recent petition concerning the Waipoua forest, was presented to! ,the House, orders were given the' State Forest Service to suspend milling and roading operations in/ the forest, was given in the House' of Representativts by Mr. C. F.l £jkinner. He was .answering a ! question by Mr. Carr who asked! for a reaffirmation of. the assur-i ance that nothing would be done' until the petition had been \-eport- ! ed upon to the House.
