Pretty Wedding Unites Levin Families
A pretty wedding was solemnised recently in Ihe St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Levin, when Betty, daughter ( of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Goldsmith, of Heatherlea/ was married to Ian Robert, son of Mr. K. and the late Mrs. Shaw, of Levin. The Rev. A. Salmond officiated and the organist was Mrs. D. Mackintosh, of Petone. The bride, who entered the church esccJrted by her father, wore a french silver brocade dress with fitting bodice and round yoke. Her full skirt formed a long train *and she wore • an embrodered silk veil. Her bouquet was of winter roses, camellias and heather. The bridesmaids were Misses M. Goldsmith and A. Shawy. who wore ruby velvet with matching muffs. Thelr flowers were orchids and they also wore orchids in their hair. The beautiful decorations in the church and at the reception were carried out by the Misses Shaw. The best man was Mr. D. Sorenson, while the gfoomsman Iwas Mr. L. Mackintosh. Messrs, T. Goldsmith and I. Souter were the ushers. At the reception in Williams' reception rooms, !$rs. Goldsmith ' wore a navy blue suit and accessories to match. She was assisted by Miss I. Shaw, who was attired in a larch green frock with wine accessories. The beautifulwedding cake was made by Miss. I. Shaw. The bride and bridegroom were piped in and out of the church and reception hall by Pipers G. Capper and J.
