(SPECIAL— FJIOM

WELLINGTON, September 10. The Wanganui and Avondale spring meetings will conelude tomorrow when the classic event on' each club's progfamme will be the guineas. .The Carterton Club will conduct. its single day meetings at Clareville at which splendid fields are carded. Unlucky to be beaten at Avondale last week Ascot Lad is expected to 'make amends in the Coronation Handicap, while at Wanganui and Carterton respectively Mangatiti and' Liebestraum will be staunch favourites and give good accounts of themselves. Mangatiti was unlucky to lost last Saturday while Liebestraum showed at Foxton that he is well forward for tomorrow's mission. Rizzio is in strong favour fOr the Avondale Guineas and Rumba for the Wanganui Guineas.

The topweight, who is racing at the top of his form at present, is up in the weights, and ne mignt find it burdensome to iump 9.5 and hoid such a smart galioper as Mangatiti. The race iooks nke deveiopmg into a duel between these two with Kia Ora Katoa and Lord Holland the best of the others. Rumba's brilliant finishing run last week has earned him favouritism for the Wanganui Guineajs. He will certainly be one of the hardest to beat. ' Other prospects are Royal Shar, which has been

working brilliantly, Luminous, Blue Skimmers and Curtana. Prospects for Avondale, Wanganui, carterton and the New Brighton Trots are: —
