British Aircraft Disappear Mysteriously
Received Thursday, 7 p.m. LONDON, iSept. 9. Scotland Yai'd and the Ministry of Civil Ayiatiou arve searching for six Beauligiite*» aircraft which have disappeared after takiug ofl; frotu two British airtields. Two were taken from the Ringway* airfield near Manchester, by two men who posed as Ministry of Aviatiou pilots, and four more wero taken from the Tliame airiield, near Buekinghamshire, by crews who were supplied by a civil airways lirm _ which was believed to have been negotiating with the .Ctvjh aviatiQiL au,thorities to purcjiase (thfim, , y Tenjpgrayy permits were gthntCcr th§se crews to fly the machines to Exeter but the Boauhghters never landed there and have not since been reported. Scotland Yard believes some or all of the planes may have heen flown to the Continent.
